Caney Creek Kennel's Story
We first fell in love with the British Labrador breed back in 1995. Since then, every dog we've raised or trained has felt like a part of our family.
Each dog at Caney Creek Kennel is fully trained to hunt and gets to put their skills to use during the annual duck hunting season. When not hunting, our dogs are the perfect loyal and attentive life-long companion.
Let us show you why we love British Labradors, and your family will fall in love, too.

Eddie Carter
I am a life-long resident of Arkansas County, Arkansas. Here hunting, especially duck hunting, is a way of life. My dad started taking me hunting with him at a very young age, and I have enjoyed it ever since.
In 1997 I received a phone call from Graham Gibson in Scotland. How he got my number I never knew, but I bought a dog from him. We have been friends ever since. I've since been to Scotland and even had the great opportunity to participate in their retriever trials in order to learn their ways of training.
Caney Creek Kennel is a small but dedicated kennel focused on importing the best genetics from Scotland available. My goal as a breeder and trainer is to produce the best dogs possible—a dog that I would personally want.

Clay Carter
My passion for dogs and hunting started at a very young age. I was drug behind beagles, squirrel dogs, and stuck in every deer stand and duck blind you can think of. I've always had a knack for animals and seeing just what they are capable of learning. I started training in 2004 and have enjoyed every moment since. I look forward to working dogs every day because it's my wind down time doing what I really enjoy.
I now have 2 kids that love doing the same hunting and training that i do. I've seen a lot of things change in the dog training world, but I believe dogs turn out better when the training is kept simple and what some may call "old school".
